This is irritating but nothing important is broken. Your only problem is that you cannot access your shares on Dell3070 by double clicking the Icon. I just wonder if it's some Dell bloatware or maybe a BIOS setting somehow blocking it for security.? I dunno, like you I'm way out of my element now. I have 2 others setup the same way for TVs in other rooms. #Windows cannot access you do not have permission windows#Windows is setup with NO user account but is a Local Account. I can ping the Dell successfully and it can also be accessed with the Dell's IP \\192.168.1.XXX\Users Which gives me access to the users folder (which is what I want). However I can access the Dell by opening Network and entering: The Dell shows in Network but is not accessibleĪll my settings are the same as mentioned above. I'm having the same issue with a new Dell Optiplex 3070 Micro. Hope this 'clue' will help someone out there. I must have touched something when I was going thru the settings that probably got me to this state. I am way out of my element here, but I'd like to not to reinstall everything on a factory reset of my computer if it can be easily avoided. In the 'problem' state, the Dell once again shows up as TCP but with an IP address 192.168. #Windows cannot access you do not have permission windows 10#In the 'factory' state, I used netstat from another Windows 10 machine on the network and it showed my Dell using TCP protocol and displayed the IPv6 address :58212 with its name Dell:microsoft-ds ESTABLISHED Computer showed same issue.ĭid notice one thing that I thought I'd share to see if it would help someone figure out what's going on here.
